Eurobodalla Slow Food Celebration

Premium Supporter

The Slow Food movement is about regional production of good food, its preparation and enjoyment.

With this in mind, Moruya Chamber of Commerce & Industry will be holding the next Celebration of good food and all things related to the growing, preparation and consuming of it over the weekend of November 19th, 20th and 21st 2010.

Our aim over this weekend will be to showcase existing regional good food producers and also to highlight the tremendous opportunities for a quality, sustainable regional food production movement on the South Coast. We will have stalls selling, displaying and educating visitors and locals alike based on the outstanding food production resources and future potential within our region.

Within the site, Moruya Riverside Park  on Saturday November 20th 9am-4pm, we anticipate that visitors will see the delights of regionally grown produce and value added product as well as celebrity speakers and chefs. On the Sunday visitors will be able to learn how to grow their own vegetables, fruit and livestock, how to prepare their own produce and how to thoroughly enjoy the benefits of consuming it slowly at the SAGE Project site. Also, we envisage significant displays promoting businesses and products associated with the production of good food in our region. In addition to site activities, local restaurants will again develop suitable regionally based menus to compliment the slow food  philosophy over the weekend.
